I completely agree with your Kinkade sentiments, but I have to say the guy has made me quite a bit of money over the years.

Sequential frame cartooning just does not lend itself to impressionism, cubist, or any of those fine styles. I always hated the mawkish greeting cards in stores, but thematically it is the only thing that fits.

I did it grudgingly.

Would I be opening myself up to ridicule if I stated on this posting that I like Kinkade's stuff? Not enough to spend money on it and I must admit I know little about art. It just puts me in a frame of mind that says, "I wish I had drawn thet and knew how to market it."
