¡Viva La Revolución! >>

For all the hustle and bustle going on about conservatives not reaching out to other demographics, the mainstream media just do not know where to look. And it is for this reason that I have made the leap to a bilingual site that reads in English and Spanish. Well, maybe that is not the best way to characterize it. I don’t want to be the box of Mac & Cheese at Quick Trip. You know… the one with the ingredient labels as a veritable Rosetta Stone of the linguistic hemisphere? No, not that.
So much of what is bad about American culture permeates newcomers to America (like thug glamor), and so many of the failed attitudes and expectations of Latin America travel to this land, America, from the other side of the border. And socialism, Leftist hero worship, songs of revolution, racial retribution, and demagoguery often tilt their political thought. Julio Cortazar and especially Octavio Paz, award-winning authors each, encyclopedically defined Latin culture to the world. Unfortunately authors like these were flaming communists. More recenlty, organizations like La Raza (the race) seek to keep identity politics alive, and they are doing so to one of the fastest growing demographics in America.
Living in Spain and working in Honduras accentuated my understanding of the people; roughly 400 million of them, to be exact. Let me tell you some facts you may not know:
1. Latinos are socially conservative and staunch Catholics.
2. Latinos are tech-savvy as far as demographics go.
3. Many of them have fled the very systems that shrieking demagogues here have espoused.
4. Latinos have surpassed other minorities in median household income.
5. Latinos appreciate family stability.
6. As a macho culture, they value a hard-day’s work.
Now for the burning question: so how does this affect your current viewership? It doesn’t. And unlike Obama telling you that you can keep your current plan, you can take my pledge to the bank. I still support the Minuteman Project, I am still for the construction of a fence, increased patrolling, and the deportation of illegals. The default language will remain English, and each podcast and article will be a direct transliteration of the same content. And despite extending this olive branch, my site will never shirk my stance on national sovereignty. While I tend to agree that English is and should be the lingua franca of America (as all of our books and songs are published in English), it is not always the language of the debates around us. So with this in mind, I hope to be a reverse Pancho Villa, and a Che that prosthyletizes capitalism, free trade, defense, and liberty… all while not getting lost in Bolivia. Like Newt Gingrich affirms, I am not a citizen of the world. And I feel that if the UN cannot stomach Israel, they can move their New York Headquarters to Tel Aviv.
The top right banner of my site has an American flag and a Spanish flag. If you are ever curious as to what God, Country and Family sound like in old Castilian, take a click. And realize that while millions of Hispanics are here legally, own businesses, and speak English, ask yourself what they speak around the dinner table. Therein lies the answer. >>
