“Alright Detective Crowley!  I got four blocks of wrecked property! You called for zero back-up and went it gung-ho maverick style like you always do! I got the Mayor’s Office and City Hall three miles up my wazoo, thirteen damaged commercial properties and a gas explosion! Not to mention a call from the President! You’re a loose cannon! Is this about Valerie’s death, James? You have to put down the bottle and let it go!”

“Drop that Chief. Right now!”

“Listen, Crowley. You’ve run renegade for the last time! I want your gun and badge, NOW! You’re off the force!”

“Tell me Chief: do you think that makes me less dangerous or more dangerous?”

“Get the hell outta my office!”

“Sure thing, jefe. Me and my posse’s gonna roll on over to the Northeast and single out a black guy at Harvard. This is what white people think about in their off hours. Now you’ve just  given me an excuse.”

SLAM!!!

Un-presidential. This week we beheld a side of Barack Obama that was not sold to us during his “post-racial” campaign. This is the angry kid with a chip on his shoulder against cops. Are there racist cops in America? Yes. Is race a factor in the legal system? Indeed. But the President, the media hub--he who is all things to all men--had a troubling kneejerk reaction to immediately condemn and ridicule a police force and a specific arresting officer, instantly assuming racial hatred.

Aggravating the executive foul-up, it turns out that James Crowley, the arresting officer, is the poster boy for racial solidarity, teaching classes to police departments in racial profiling.

What a filthy morass!

If the President is a policy-shifter, then he needs to stand mute on issues where he has no information at all, especially on local scraps he has no authority in determining.

Falling short of issuing a true apology, President Barack Obama, Opinionator-in-Chief, has injected himself into an isolated media frenzy and has shot dead his credibility in being a post-racial figure, skirting the youthful and tolerant self-branding of Generation Y and resurrecting the stodgy old man from the 1960s, from 50 years ago. The more things change, the more they stay the same in America…and the more Obama looks like Cynthia McKinney. It sort of makes me wonder if Professor Henry Louis Gates actually practiced his little police officer tell-off for years in front of the mirror, and if it came out the way he had planned. “Oh, here come some cops…I can finally launch into my tirade!”

Either way, we finally get to see where the World Apology Tour wraps up; in Cairo. None for Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, though.

The supplication will be televised!

On a related side note, while I think it is legitimate to be critical of Black Liberation Theology, Reverend Wright, birth certificates, Raila Odinga, and other elements in the current regime, I have been getting jokes sent to me from time to time, or posts on my site, often containing racial invective. “Mulatto” this and “half-breed” that. We are in a position of moral ascendancy over the DNC racialists who have, in a matter of decades, become an ethnic obliterati and have thwarted Black America from within. So if you post this crap, you resign your rights to criticize Sotomayor, Wright, and other liberal, low expectation bigots. With each and every time you make these references, you validate Jeanine Garafalo’s ilk. You don’t want that harpy to be right about us, do you? 

I’m sure as heck planning on being the next Audra Shay, so cut the crap.
